WELL & STRONG: A TRUE STORY

Documentary about building wellness and the personal empowerment that results from using preventive and holistic approaches to health care. Focuses on Verna Henderson, a California schoolteacher whose doctor recommended surgery for a condition that was not responding to standard medical care. Unconvinced that surgery was the answer and unwilling to submit to the knife, Verna sought and successfully used various natural, non-invasive, holistic healing methods. She improved her condition dramatically and avoided the dreaded surgery. Recommended for health information centers, holistic health providers, senior groups, hospitals and organizations interested in empowerment issues. Festival winner. Produced and directed by Karil Daniels.
