TENDON TRANSFER SURGERY TO RESTORE HAND FUNCTION AFTER SPINAL CORD INJURY

Tendon transfer surgery can play an important role in the rehabilitation of some people with quadraplegia following a spinal cord injury. By using this surgical technique, people may be able to perform vital activities of daily living such as handling small objects and personal hygiene without assistance, and thus significantly increase their level of independence. A list of hand surgery centers is also included.
